Day Five: Yes, we do homework in Hawaii. But we also swim with manta rays.

Parents: Here is proof that your kids are doing more than hanging at the beach :)

After classes, everyone headed to Kona for a submarine ride and some relaxation. It was a nice break to see all of Hawaii's fish without even getting wet! Many of us went shopping in Kona and the second group went to see the mantas. It was AMAZING.

Day Four: Happy Fourth!

This morning we woke up to a full rainbow on our way to breakfast.

After breakfast we headed out to Hapuna for a Rocky Intertidal Zone lab. We had perfect conditions to collect data and then have some free time!

After our lab, we visited a Macadamia factory. With 50 kids, and several adults, there were not many nuts left on the island :)

When we came outside there were some wild goats???? Apparently they just roam the hills around here!

While everyone was in class, Ms. Lynch and Ms. Hartman spent some time at the beach and made a new friend.

This night ended with lots of excitement. Half of our group went to see the manta rays, the other half went to see fireworks. All manta pics will be posted on day five.
